Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our growing appliance distribution team in New Rochelle, NY. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating delivery routes, managing inventory transfers between warehouse locations, and serving as a key communication link between customers, sales staff, warehouses, and third-party delivery providers. This role is critical to ensuring efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Plan and coordinate daily appliance delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet customer expectations.
- Communicate delivery schedules, updates, and issues with customers, sales representatives, and internal departments.
- Coordinate inventory transfers between warehouse locations to maintain proper stock levels and product availability.
- Monitor inventory movement and assist with inventory accuracy and reconciliation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party delivery teams and transportation partners.
- Track delivery progress and proactively address delays, scheduling conflicts, or service issues.
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel, delivery teams, and sales staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, transfers, inventory movements, and transportation documentation.
- Resolve customer and logistics-related concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, dispatching, transportation coordination, inventory control, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with routing, dispatching, warehouse management, or transportation management systems is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in appliance, furniture, home delivery, or distribution operations is a plus.
