Duties
- Monitor premises using CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond swiftly to emergencies by administering first aid or CPR when necessary and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency responders
- Conduct patrols of the facility’s interior and exterior areas to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
- Manage conflict situations professionally by utilizing conflict management techniques to de-escalate potential threats
- Perform loss prevention activities by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing security measures
- Complete detailed incident reports and shift logs to document all security-related activities and incidents
Skills
- Proven experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles with a focus on armed security operations
- Strong surveillance skills with proficiency in CCTV monitoring and video analysis
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification to provide immediate assistance during emergencies
- Ability to handle conflict situations calmly and effectively through conflict management strategies
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security best practices
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and coordination with emergency responders
- Physical fitness to perform patrols, respond quickly to incidents, and maintain alertness during long shifts
