Description:
This role is responsible for preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces to maintain and enhance the appearance and condition of residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate takes pride in high quality workmanship, follows safety standards, and completes projects efficiently with minimal disruption. Travel to various apartment buildings is required.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and priming

Paint interior and exterior walls, ceilings, trim, doors, railings, and other surfaces

Mix, match, and apply paints, stains, finishes, and coatings

Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, tape, and coverings
-
Repair minor drywall, plaster, and surface imperfections as needed

Safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and painting equipment

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition

Follow all safety procedures and comply with OSHA and company standards

Communicate with supervisors regarding project status, materials needed, and timelines

Complete work orders and assignments within established timeframes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a painter (residential, commercial, or both)

Knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, and materials

Ability to work independently and follow instructions

Strong attention to detail and quality

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if traveling between sites
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in apartment or property management settings

Drywall repair or light carpentry experience

OSHA 10 certification or similar safety training
