Samaritan Care Center & Villa of Medina is a non-profit healthcare campus with a 56-bed Skilled Nursing Facility and 26-bed Assisted Living Community. Our primary focus is providing high quality nursing care and other related services for residents in need. Our services include short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care.

Caregivers are required to routinely care for residents. The position requires the ability to exercise judgment on various patient care matters.
Major responsibilities include:
- Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with personal hygiene and serving meals
- Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests
- Documents and records care provided, notifying the nurse-on-duty of any changes in condition
- Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures. Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential.
- Serves and protects the long-term care community by adhering to professional standards, campus policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and ODH standards.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Enhances nursing department and healthcare campus reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Complies and implements the Patient Bill of Rights
- Complies with the Employee Responsibilities as described in the Employee Handbook
Qualifications:
Previous caregiver experience is preferred. Previous experience in long term care is preferred.
