Heavy/Light Equipment Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Light/Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders, as well as light machinery such as skid steers and mini excavators. Operators are expected to have prior equipment, knowledge and operation experience to be able to complete complex tasks and fine grades to very tight tolerances according to plans. Basic knowledge and know how of plan and blueprint understanding is critical.
Responsibilities:
* Operate all types of equipment
* Perform basic inspections and maintenance on equipment
* Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
* Follow project plans and specifications
* Complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Valid driver's license AND reliable transportation
* Minimum 1 Year of experience operating equipment
* Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to work in all weather conditions
* Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
* Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred:
* Heavy Equipment Operator Certification
* Stormwater Certification
* CDL Class A
* Experience driving road tractors/dump trucks
Pay:
* $20-$33/hr based on experience
