Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Service Advisor to join our team! In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs. Your enthusiasm, mechanical knowledge, and customer service skills will drive customer satisfaction, promote additional services through upselling, and ensure smooth communication between customers and our skilled technicians.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Explain repair procedures, estimates, and recommended services clearly and transparently
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, ensuring timely completion of work
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission services to maximize customer value
- Prepare detailed service estimates using automotive diagnostics and auto estimating tools
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining excellent customer relations
- Maintain detailed service records, write service orders, and update customers on repair progress
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing processes
- Knowledge of various automotive systems including transmissions, air brakes, shocks & struts, diesel engines, and tire services
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining integrity
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and confidently manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Previous experience working with mechanics or in automotive repair environments is a plus
