The Best Western Butterfield Inn is now accepting applications for a guestroom inspector. The job includes, but not limited to inspecting guest rooms, fixing the little details and making sure the cleaned rooms are perfect for our arriving guests. Duties also include cleaning of public areas, helping in laundry and anywhere else help is needed.
We have a friendly staff and great working conditions. Fuel up after breakfast if over for the guests with a hot breakfast. Come in and talk with Daisy, our general manager.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, ensuring all areas meet cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Utilize cleaning equipment such as vacuums and other janitorial tools to maintain pristine conditions in guest accommodations.
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing floor care, sanitation, and other cleaning tasks in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel procedures.
- Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of cleaning supplies or furniture as needed to facilitate thorough cleaning.
- Document inspection results accurately, noting any maintenance issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution.
- Support hotel housekeeping management by coordinating cleaning schedules and ensuring compliance with hospitality standards.
- Adhere to hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest safety at all times during inspections and cleaning activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or industrial cleaning environments.
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical handling protocols.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and other janitorial tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely during routine duties.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols.
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping management or hospitality is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
