Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Hotel Chief Engineer to lead our facilities management and maintenance operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing all engineering functions to ensure the safety, efficiency, and optimal performance of the hotel’s infrastructure. Duties
- Lead and supervise the engineering team to ensure timely maintenance and repairs across all hotel facilities, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and structural components
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to maximize equipment lifespan and operational efficiency
- Oversee the operation and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and industrial control systems to maintain seamless building automation
- Manage high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades, renovations, or new installations with internal teams or external contractors
- Monitor energy consumption and implement sustainable practices to reduce costs while maintaining guest comfort
- Conduct inspections using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues accurately
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during maintenance activities, especially when working with high voltage or industrial equipment
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and reporting purposes
Qualifications
- Proven management experience leading engineering or facilities teams within a hospitality or manufacturing environment
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical maintenance, electrical systems (including high voltage), and industrial control processes
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting industrial equipment
- Familiarity with CMMS software for scheduling maintenance tasks and tracking work orders
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate teams and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent understanding of facilities management principles combined with project management capabilities
- Proficiency in English for effective communication across diverse teams and vendors
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance settings
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately using tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments
- Leadership qualities that foster teamwork, safety awareness, and continuous improvement efforts

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
