American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring an active MA RN license and 1–3 years of OR experience.

Hospital-based Operating Room setting
-
40-hour work week with a mix of 8- and 10-hour shifts
-
Day shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
-
On-call required: approximately three weeknights per month (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and one weekend day per month (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

Patient population spans pre-natal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
-
EMR: Epic (charting system used on unit)

Active MA RN license required — no pending or conditional licenses accepted

Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required — AHA only; no other providers accepted

1–3 years of Operating Room nursing experience required

2 professional references required for consideration

Functions primarily in the Circulating Nurse role, serving as patient advocate for the anesthetized surgical patient

Responsible for safe and effective care addressing the physiologic and functional needs of surgical patients

Must communicate effectively with patients across a wide range of intellectual levels and physical abilities on an interdisciplinary basis

Flu vaccine is required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted

Timekeeping is managed through UKG/Kronos

Local candidates residing within 60 miles of the Boston flagship location are eligible but subject to a reduced pay rate
