CNC Lathe Day Shift Setup/Lead Operator
Our team is currently seeking a Day Shift CNC Lathe Setup/Lead to join our company!
The Day Shift CNC Lathe Setup/Lead is responsible for efficiently setting up, managing direct reports, running production CNC machines, maintaining good quality product, and reporting issues to their supervisor.
Day Shift CNC Lathe Setup/Lead Operator - DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Runs and manages production in the CNC Lathe Department
- Sets up new jobs
- Assists department operators with quality and performance
- Trains new employees as needed
- Reports directly to Day Shift Production Supervisor
- Gathers paperwork for and works with scheduling to maintain schedule integrity
- Ensure that operators in department are maintaining good quality products
- Reports issues to the Day Shift Production Supervisor and Engineering
- Leaves machine in good working condition; new tooling, good coolant level, etc.
- Makes tool offsets and changes to tooling when needed
- Inspects products properly
- Keeps the machine area clean, including floor, machine, and workstation
- Performs all other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- 5 years’ experience using production machines
- Able to make good decisions on which materials to use, how to solve the problem and if outside help is needed
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment and handle multi-tasks
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Vocational school training on electrical principles and troubleshooting.
- At least 5 years’ experience in light industry or the machine tool industry.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Required)
