Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist in the development of financial models to support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to ensure compliance with tax laws and industry regulations
- Collaborate with clients to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively
- Support auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and insights into financial statements
- Monitor changes in financial regulations and advise on necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing compliance
- Utilize financial software and spreadsheets to organize data, perform calculations, and generate reports that inform decision-making
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and modeling
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, GAAP standards, and tax accounting practices
- Experience with financial software used for tax preparation, accounting, or audit purposes
- Knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret complex financial data accurately
- Project management abilities to handle multiple deadlines efficiently
- Effective client communication skills to explain technical information clearly and professionally
- Background in finance or accounting combined with relevant industry experience in tax or auditing is highly desirable
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
