Who We Are:
4 Paws Veterinary Group is a privately owned, women-led, small animal practice located in charming Angels Camp, California. We’re committed to delivering exceptional medicine in a warm, supportive environment where both pets and people feel cared for.
We have a strong focus on:
- Exceptional medicine - no cutting corners, just gold-standard care.
- Integrative medicine and rehabilitation - Chi institute and UCD rehab certified practitioner offering acupuncture, medical manipulation, laser and physical therapy.
- Surgery - routine soft tissue procedures (OVH, OE, mass removals, enucleations, cystotomies) as well as emergency surgeries (enterotomies, splenectomies, GDVs, GI surgeries, amputations, PUs, etc.) and select orthopedic procedures. Our surgery suite is state-of-the-art and outfitted with electrocautery and Ligasure.
- Dentistry - dedicated dental suite with Olympic heated dental table, dental radiographs and Securos dental surgical instruments. 2 RVTs dedicated to every dental.
- Advanced diagnostics - comprehensive in-house Idexx equipment including CBC, Chemistries, cortisol, progesterone, PT/PTT, SediVue, and InVue
- Advanced imaging: Ultrasound and UCD fellowship-trained ultrasonographer Dr. Calaveras Cunningham, digital radiographs
We believe veterinary medicine should be as fulfilling as it is impactful. That’s why we prioritize collaboration, mentorship, and a sustainable work-life balance for our entire team. We have no on-call. The clinic is open two Saturdays per month (8-2pm) for urgent care appointments.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to small animal patients and communicate with pet parents.
- Find what works best for you. We offer a mix of routine appointments (30-60 min each), urgent cares, ultrasounds, surgery, dentistry, and integrative services. You can choose how much of each you would like to do.
- Participate in a collaborative, supportive medical team that values integrity, open communication, and having some fun!
- For experienced vets that can generate well, we would consider full-time to be approximately 32hrs/week, consisting of a three-day workweek and ONE half Saturday shift monthly equating to $150K/ year + production.
- Maintain a predictable schedule. No on call.

What You’ll Get:
- Base salary (guaranteed for your first year)
- 22% production bonus paid monthly (no negative accrual)
- Optional additional shifts paid separately at your base daily rate + production
- $2,500 CE allowance per year (up to $5,000 with approval) + 32 paid CE hours
