The Continuous Improvement Project Leader provides expertise in conception, deployment, and maintenance of continuous improvement projects for Chelsea Milling Company. They will evaluate and continuously improve existing processes in a variety of business units. The person in this position should have expertise in project management, change management, data analytics, and collaboration to build strong relationships across departments and levels of the company. They must have the ability to work cross-functionally and strategically to ensure all operational and project needs are met within the capacity of the continuous improvement group.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Food or Packaging Science.
- 5+ years of proven experience in continuous improvement project execution with an emphasis on data analysis, reporting, and change management.
- Proven experience in CI projects
- Highly developed problem-solving and project management skills.
- Experience with plant metrics and reporting processes and systems.
- Team-player mentality, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead, listen, and communicate effectively.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and planning abilities combined with practical business sense.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in leading organizational changes.
- Capability to provide technical consultation and leadership to others.
- Above average computer skills including MS Office.
- A proven track record of being proactive, taking the initiative.
- Ability to adhere to the compliance requirements of manufacturing operations.
