Texas Wilbert is seeking motivated individuals to join our manufacturing team as a Production Operator . This is an entry-level position with opportunities for advancement and skill development in the precast concrete industry.
As a Production Operator, you will help manufacture high-quality concrete products that serve the funeral service industry. Products include burial vaults and other precast concrete products.
No prior experience is required. We provide hands-on training and opportunities to learn multiple aspects of the manufacturing process.
What You'll Do
Manufacturing Operations
- Assist in the production of precast concrete products.
- Strip finished products from molds and forms.
- Clean, inspect, and prepare forms for future production.
- Apply bonding agents, sealants, and release materials as required.
- Place and finish concrete in molds and forms.
Mold Preparation
- Set up molds and forms for concrete production.
- Apply release agents to ensure proper product removal.
- Cut, bend, and place reinforcing wire and rebar.
Concrete Placement & Finishing
- Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete surfaces.
- Monitor product curing to ensure quality and durability.
- Assist with product handling and movement throughout the production process.
Quality Control
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards.
- Identify defects and communicate issues to supervisors.
- Assist with concrete testing and quality assurance procedures.
Equipment & Tool Operation
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Assist with troubleshooting and reporting equipment issues.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Comply with environmental, quality, and workplace safety regulations.
Team Support
- Maintain accurate production records as required.
- Assist with special projects and other duties assigned by management.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor in an outdoor and manufacturing environment.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed.
- Ability to work safely around machinery and manufacturing equipment.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Experience in concrete, construction, manufacturing, welding, or heavy equipment operation is a plus.
