Perform responsibilities as described below:

organize and review plans and specifications; prepare cost estimates for both hard-money and proposal bidding, to include cost estimate preparation utilizing Estimating Software (currently HCSS), analyzing and establishing means, methods, production rates, and schedules;
- present cost estimates/proposals before in-house management, joint venture partners;
- perform quantity Take-offs from plans utilizing various means, such as scaling, and Agtek, On-Screen and Bluebeam Take-off programs;
- prepare sketches, illustrations, and composites for use in estimate preparation and review;
- prepare Sub/Supplier quotation request packages, communication with Subs/Suppliers, and collection and review of quotations;
- estimate close-out including Sub/Supplier Quote Comparisons.
Requirements:
MS in Civ Engg; 18mos as Estimator or Estimating Engineer; experience with CalTrans projects of minimum $1M; experience performing quantity takeoffs for public projects at or beyond CalTrans standards; experience with BlueBeam Revu.
