American Rooter is hiring an Underground Plumbing & Excavation Technician to perform interior sewer and water service repairs, underground plumbing replacements, concrete demolition and restoration, and assist with excavation projects as needed.
This is a physically demanding position that requires working inside occupied homes, crawl spaces, basements, and outdoors on excavation projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with plumbing, excavation, concrete work, and construction, and be comfortable performing manual labor daily.

What You'll Be Doing
- Hand dig inside homes to expose and repair underground sewer and water service lines
- Repair and replace sewer service lines, water service lines, house traps, and underground drainage systems
- Repipe vertical sewer stacks and perform other interior plumbing system repairs
- Cut, break, and remove concrete floors using jackhammers and demolition equipment
- Remove and replace concrete flooring following plumbing repairs
- Perform concrete restoration and finishing inside homes and buildings
- Operate hand tools, power tools, jackhammers, concrete saws, and demolition equipment
- Utilize ServiceTitan to maintain accurate job records, notes, photos, and documentation
- Maintain clean and professional work areas inside customers' homes
- Assist excavation crews as a Laborer/Pipe Fitter on exterior sewer and water service replacements as needed
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and tools
- Follow company safety procedures and job site standards
Required Experience
You must have experience with:
- Hand tools and power tools
- Concrete demolition and restoration
- Jackhammers and demolition equipment
- Excavation, trenching, or underground utility work
- General plumbing or construction work
- Working in occupied residential homes
Underground plumbing, drain, sewer, or excavation experience is strongly preferred.
