Elliot Industries, Inc (a MacLean Power Systems Company) has an exciting opportunity for a Fabricator Technician. The Fabrication Technician will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines
This role is Onsite in Bossier City, LA.
Starting Hourly Rate: $18.00
What You’ll Do
- Performing necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
- Operating/monitoring multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams.
- Adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications in a timely manner.
- Communicating with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
- Housekeeping and sanitation.
What You’ll Need to Excel in This Role
- High school diploma/GED required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Machine Shop.
- Have the ability to follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
- Have the ability to read fabrication/welding blueprints, schematics and manuals.
- Must be able to read tape measures and other measuring devices.
- Analytical Skills and high-level attention to detail are both required.
- Ability to work within a team and independently.
- Physical stamina, strength, and ability to handle heavy equipment are required.
- Must be able to multitask.
