Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto service management, dealership experience, and a passion for the automotive industry. This role requires effective listening, leadership and the ability to manage a team of technicians while maintaining high standards of service quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Manage and train service technicians to provide top-notch automotive repair and maintenance services.
- Develop and implement strategies for upselling services and products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase revenue.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Ensure accurate estimating for repairs and services, maintaining full transparency with customers.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Maintain detailed records of service transactions, including cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with sales teams to promote automobile sales alongside service offerings.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, trends, and best practices in vehicle maintenance.
Skills
- Proven experience in dealership settings and auto service management.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repair.
- Proficient in automotive diagnostics and service writing.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to effectively upsell services while maintaining customer loyalty and trust.
- Experience in cash handling and financial transactions within an automotive context.
