Upper Bay Counseling & Support Services, Inc. (UBCSS) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance Department. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the agency's financial records while supporting the organization's mission of providing quality behavioral health services.

What You'll Do
-
Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records
-
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes
-
Reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts
-
Prepare journal entries and financial reports
-
Maintain organized and accurate accounting documentation and records
-
Assist with budgeting, audits, and financial reporting
-
Assist with fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll as required.

Track customer receipts and vendor payments in accordance with contractual terms and conditions.

Support grant accounting and compliance activities

Utilize the Sage Accounting System to manage financial transactions and reporting

Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies for timely resolution

Collaborate with the Director of Finance and other departments to support organizational financial operations

Contribute to departmental goals and other accounting projects as assigned
What We're Looking For
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
-
Minimum of five (5) years of general accounting experience preferred

Experience with general ledger accounting and financial reporting

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Experience using the Sage Accounting System preferred

Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
