We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HERS Rater / Energy Rater to join our growing team. Responsibilities
- Perform residential energy inspections and HERS ratings for new and existing homes.
- Conduct blower door and duct leakage testing.
- Inspect homes for compliance with energy codes and program requirements.
- Collect field data and prepare accurate reports.
- Coordinate with builders and contractors.
- Provide recommendation to improve home energy efficiency.
- Maintain certifications and stay current with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- HERS Rater certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience in residential construction, HVAC, inspections, building trades, or related fields is a plus.
- Interest in building science, energy efficiency, and residential construction.
- Ability to learn technical procedures and use testing equipment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Training Provided
We are willing to train the right candidate. If you have a construction, HVAC, home inspection, or related background—or simply a strong desire to learn—we will provide training and support toward obtaining the necessary certifications and developing the skills needed to succeed in this role.

Pay: $51,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year
