Primary Purpose: To provide direct and individual advocacy, services and related assistance to adult victims of sexual assault. Work with the team and SANEs to coordinate emergency services, advocacy services, forensic exams, and serve as an on-call advocate for victims of sexual assault.
Essential Duties:
1. Ensure the safety of the victim and follow all protocol and procedures in the event of a request for a forensic exam
2. Ensure all documentation is accurately recorded, stored and protocols are followed
3. Answer 24-hour hotline
4. Assist in case management for survivor needs
5. Conduct intake meetings or meet in person with clients for information and support
6. Educate and assist with safety planning for victims/survivors
7. Facilitate support group for rape survivors when requested
8. Collaborate with community partners, and other service providers to ensure the best quality of care for victims/survivors
9. Attend all required training and ensure CEU’s are approved and met as required
10. Participate in all mandated staff meeting and other in-service trainings
11. Maintain proper documentation as instructed and abide by all confidentiality and release of information policies and procedures
12. Adhere to the FCC Code of Ethics provided to you
13. Identify and build relationships with relevant community partners to ensure a comprehensive range of services for rape victims
14. Participate in community education activities and events
15. Report to your immediate supervisor any issues that could negatively impact a victim or the FCC
Qualifications:
* Minimum of a BA in Social Work, Psychology, or related/relevant field
* Prior experience working with trauma victims including sexual assault strongly preferred.
* Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to represent FCC in a professional manner and engage in public speaking opportunities.
* Some out of town travel is required for trainings, meetings, or client advocacy. Ability to be available during on-call night time hours to meet the needs of victims.
* Must have reliable transportation
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
