SunView Estates, formerly Summerwood MHP, is looking for a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to help maintain our manufactured housing community in Lafayette, Louisiana.
This position is responsible for completing maintenance repairs, manufactured home rehabs, HVAC-related work, plumbing repairs, landscaping, cleanup, and emergency maintenance needs throughout the community.
The ideal candidate must have an active EPA certification, strong HVAC knowledge, and strong plumbing experience. We need someone dependable, hands-on, and able to work independently without constant supervision.
This is not a one-trade position. The right person must be able to handle a wide range of maintenance needs, including home repairs, property upkeep, resident work orders, and community curb appeal.
Responsibilities
- Perform manufactured home rehabs, remodels, repairs, and make-ready work
- Diagnose and complete plumbing repairs, including leaks, water lines, drain lines, faucets, toilets, fixtures, and water heaters
- Work on HVAC systems, including basic troubleshooting, service, maintenance, and repairs within your license and skill level. Also coordinate with outside HVAC vendors when repairs require additional support
- Complete basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, light fixtures, breakers, and general troubleshooting
- Repair drywall, flooring, doors, windows, trim, skirting, cabinets, decks, and other home components
- Perform landscaping, mowing, trimming, weed control, and lawn care as needed
- Inspect homes, lots, common areas, roads, utilities, and community grounds for maintenance concerns
- Maintain high standards for curb appeal and community safety
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
