We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Counter / Warehouse Associate to join our team in Fort Myers. This vital role combines front-end customer service with efficient warehouse operations, ensuring that automotive parts and accessories are accurately sourced, managed, and delivered. As a key player in our supply chain and inventory management processes, you will help maintain seamless logistics, support procurement activities, and provide exceptional service to our customers and internal teams. Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the counter by providing expert guidance on automotive parts, accessories, and related products, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments with precision, verifying orders against purchase requests and delivery documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems such as ERP or AS400, including data entry and parts administration.
- Support procurement management by sourcing parts, negotiating pricing, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely availability of inventory.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to organize stock, load/unload shipments, and optimize storage space.
- Collaborate with internal teams on demand planning, order management, and logistics to streamline supply chain processes.
- Conduct regular inventory control checks, perform parts sourcing activities, and assist in shipping & receiving operations to uphold efficient warehouse management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse operations, or automotive parts management.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems such as ERP software or AS400; proficiency in Microsoft Office is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and parts is highly desirable.
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain one; experience operating warehouse equipment safely is essential.
- Strong negotiation skills for procurement activities and supplier management experience.
- Excellent internal communication skills to coordinate effectively across departments including sales, logistics, and customer service teams.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, OEM parts sourcing, auto body repair processes, HVAC systems, or vehicle systems is advantageous.
- Pull, stage, package, and prepare customer orders.
- Receive incoming shipments and verify products against packing slips.
- Stock and organize warehouse inventory.
- Load and unload materials safely.
- Assist customers with locating and loading products.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse.
- Assist with inventory counts and product organization.
- Communicate with branch management regarding customer orders and inventory needs.
- Learn and identify pumps, motors, fittings, pipe, valves, tanks, irrigation products, and related equipment.
