Why Anderson's & Co.? We are a growing environmental engineering firm known for hands-on compliance and engineering solutions for industrial clients. If you want real client exposure, varied field and technical work, and the chance to lead a team and build your own client base, this is your next move.
The Role: We are hiring a Senior Environmental Engineer to lead environmental compliance work for our industrial client base. This is a senior-level role — not entry-level or a technician position — for someone with hands-on consulting experience who's ready to own client relationships and technical deliverables. You'll manage a team of environmental scientists and engineers, and have real latitude to build and run your own client accounts as you grow with the firm. Expect a mix of fieldwork (~20% travel) and report/permit writing, with direct client contact from day one.
What You'll Do
- Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments to evaluate contamination and liability risk
- Perform fieldwork including stormwater sampling, quarterly site inspections, and annual comprehensive inspections
- Serve as a client-facing technical contact — providing guidance, project updates, and compliance recommendations
- Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and correspondence with regulatory agencies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Collaborate with engineers and environmental scientists on integrated environmental solutions
- Manage and mentor environmental scientists and engineers
- Build the business by developing and managing your own client relationships
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in environmental engineering
- Experience with Phase I and/or Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
- Experience with stormwater inspections, sampling, or NPDES compliance
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (~20%)
