Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Clamp Driver (Forklift Operator) / Yard Checker to join our team. This role involves operating a clamp forklift, unloading containers, and supporting warehouse operations involving large appliances. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a clamp forklift to safely move and handle appliances
- Unload containers using equipment and manually when required
- Perform put-away tasks using an RF scanner
- Accurately scan and track inventory using warehouse systems
- Wrap and prepare products for storage or shipment
- Assist with yard checking duties, including verifying trailers and shipments
- Inspect equipment daily and report any issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating a clamp forklift required
- Experience unloading containers and handling large items (appliances preferred)
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including manual unloading
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable attendance and ability to work early morning shifts
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics environments
- Yard checking or shipping/receiving experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
