Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations and medical history reviews, to develop effective treatment plans.
- Deliver a wide range of general dentistry services such as dental cleanings, fillings, crowns, and prosthodontics.
- Conduct complex procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, and oral surgery with precision and care.
- Utilize dental imaging technology and adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure infection control and safety standards are maintained.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide four-handed dentistry for efficient patient care delivery.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care to promote long-term oral health.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic or similar healthcare environment with familiarity in dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
- Hands-on experience performing general dentistry procedures including dental fabrication and endodontics.
- Competency in medical imaging techniques and understanding of medical records management.
- Prior experience in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is a plus.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and thoroughly.
