American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Nashville, TN, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and certifications including AWHONN Intermediate (or CEFM), NRP, ACLS, and BLS.

Located in the Women's and Children's building at a hospital in Nashville, TN

Labor & Delivery unit with 12 beds

Patient ratio of 1:2

Unit is staffed with RNs, a unit secretary, and OR techs

Documentation systems: CPN and Meditech
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
-
3 weekend shifts required per scheduling period
-
1 on-call shift required per scheduling period for RNs
-
Travelers float first per unit floating policy
-
13-week contract
-
Active TN or Compact RN license required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card), and AWHONN Intermediate — not advanced — or CEFM/NCCEFM

Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required

Experience caring for laboring patients, newborns immediately post-delivery, and circulating/recovering C-section patients

US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

One professional reference required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Procedures performed on unit include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&Cs, cerclages, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor

Scrubs are not provided by the facility; candidates must wear ceil blue, navy blue, or gray scrubs

All certifications must be from AHA or ARC and must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
