Overview
Southern California — Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura Counties | Full-time | $20/hour starting with no experience, up to $27 for relevant construction or solar experience
We install residential solar and battery storage across Southern California, and we need an additional crewmember. Experience is welcome but not needed — we'll teach you the trade. What we can't teach is showing up on time and paying attention, so we're looking for someone punctual, hardworking, and ready to learn.
The work
- Staging and carrying material, setting mounts and flashings, racking, and setting panels alongside a lead installer
- Assisting on Tesla Powerwall, gateway, and backup system installs
- Running site surveys — measuring roof planes, documenting the main service panel and existing electrical, and photographing site conditions for our design team
- Meeting city and county inspectors at job sites and getting installs signed off
- Running permit submittals and pickups at building departments and utility offices
Requirements
- 18 or older, legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Your own reliable vehicle, a valid California driver's license, current insurance, and a clean driving record. You'll be driving to job sites, inspections, and permit offices. We reimburse mileage.
- Comfortable working at heights and on pitched roofs
- Able to lift and carry 50+ lbs repeatedly and stay on your feet all day, including in summer heat
- Willing to learn our methods, our sequencing, and our safety standards from day one
Helpful, not required: construction, roofing, framing, or electrical experience; OSHA-10; Spanish/English bilingual; hand and power tool experience.
A construction background is a plus. Bring the work ethic and we'll train the rest our way. We're a Tesla-certified installer, and our work has to pass utility, AHJ, and manufacturer standards, so we're particular about how it gets done.
