Position Details
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Near Wausau, Wisconsin
- Employment Type: Contract
- Schedule: 12 HR Nights or 12 Hour Variable Shfits Available (Choose One)
- Float Expectations : Candidates must be willing to float to nearby affiliated facilities within the local health system when needed to support patient care.
On-Call Expectations
- Up to 12 hours of on-call every six weeks
- Response time of 30 minutes
- Nurses may be placed on-call during periods of low census
- Minimum 2-hour call-back guarantee when called into work

What We're Looking For
We're seeking confident, compassionate Emergency Room RNs who excel under pressure and are passionate about providing exceptional emergency care.
Qualifications
- ✔ Active RN License
- ✔ Recent Emergency Department experience
- ✔ BLS Certification
- ✔ ACLS Certification (preferred/required per facility)
- ✔ PALS and/or TNCC preferred based on experience
- ✔ Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- ✔ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- ✔ Commitment to delivering outstanding patient-centered care

Responsibilities
- Provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment for patients presenting with medical, surgical, and traumatic emergencies.
- Prioritize care using sound clinical judgment in a high-acuity, fast-paced Emergency Department.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency interventions while monitoring patient responses.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continually reassess changing conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Maintain timely, accurate electronic documentation while adhering to regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Respond effectively during medical emergencies while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and clinical excellence.
