Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students with special needs in a collaborative school environment. This role starts August 20, 2026, and runs through June 3, 2027. You’ll work onsite, supporting learners with mild to moderate needs at the elementary level, helping to shape a positive and inclusive educational experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid CDE Special Education Teacher licensure
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students in special education, especially with mild/moderate caseloads
- Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and effective implementation strategies
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- A commitment to fostering student growth and an inclusive classroom community
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging instructional activities tailored to students’ individualized education plans
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support students’ goals and progress
- Monitor student development and document progress in accordance with district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and team planning sessions
- Cultivate a supportive environment that equips students with essential academic and social skills
