Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Aluminum Railing Installer-Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing high-quality aluminum railings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise in metal fabrication, welding, and blueprint interpretation will ensure precise craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical blueprints to accurately fabricate aluminum railing components.
- Measure materials using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math calculations to ensure exact dimensions.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal materials in accordance with specifications.
- Perform welding tasks including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and gas metal arc welding following AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes & standards.
- Fabricate metal components by cutting, grinding, welding, and assembling sheet metal using appropriate techniques for aluminum materials.
- Use measuring instruments accurately to verify dimensions during fabrication and installation processes.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols on construction sites and within fabrication shops to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- Install finished railing systems securely on-site while ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings accurately and execute fabrication tasks efficiently.
Experience
- Prior construction site experience with a focus on metal or aluminum fabrication is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding in accordance with AWS standards.
- Hands-on experience operating power tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, shop math, and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
- Knowledge of safety protocols relevant to construction sites and fabrication shops is essential.
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, mechanical fabrication, and assembly of railing systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
