Description: Responsible for the successful operation of the school cafeteria by encouraging maximum student participation with positive customer service. Responsible for adhering to local, State and federal regulations regarding School Food Service and the Child Nutrition Program. Supervises and participates in food preparation, optimizing and maintaining high standards in nutrition, food flavor, appearance and presentation. Responsible for inventory control, ordering, receiving, record keeping, daily and monthly reporting of income and meal counts. Communicates effectively with food service staff, food service director, school faculty and administration and students. Displays a high level of personal and professional integrity in the performance of duties. Accomplishes all tasks in a manner that promotes excellent customer service. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
Work Year: Follows school calendar
Workday: 8 hours per day – 6:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Salary: Starting at $25.14/hour
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to become HACCP Certified
- Ability to manage staff & kitchen operation
- Ability to understand school nutritional standards
- Applicants with prior Food Service and working within nutritional guidelines preferred
