Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Brewer/Backup Kava-tender to join our vibrant beverage manufacturing team. As a key team member, you will operate brewing equipment, assist with kava-tender duties, and step into the role of backup operator to support our production schedule. Duties
- Operate and monitor brewing equipment to produce consistent, high-quality craft beverages in accordance with established recipes and procedures
- Assist with ingredient preparation, measuring, and addition to ensure precise formulation during brewing cycles
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all brewing areas, adhering strictly to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards
- Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime, performing basic mechanical repairs when necessary
- Support packaging operations by overseeing filling, capping, labeling, and ensuring product integrity throughout the process
- Conduct quality assurance checks at various stages of production to ensure compliance with food safety standards and product specifications
- Assist as backup Kava-tender by preparing kava beverages for customers, maintaining product consistency, and providing excellent customer service in a lively environment
- Participate in inventory management, material handling, and proper storage of ingredients and finished products
Requirements
- Proven experience in craft beer or kava beverage manufacturing environments with knowledge of food safety standards
- Strong understanding of sanitation procedures, HACCP protocols, CGMP regulations, and safety standards in production settings
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently
- Experience operating manufacturing machinery and material handling equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and recording production data
- Knowledge of industrial chemical handling procedures to ensure safe practices during cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with food & beverage production processes, especially within a food industry or beverage manufacturing facility
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to lead or support as needed in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence and quality assurance throughout all production stages
