POSITION GOAL To appraise, protect and promote the health of the students at assigned school(s) within the scope of practice
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. * Staff school health room, perform health evaluations and administer first aid with referral to the Nursing Supervisor as needed. 2. * Administer prescription medications in accordance with policy, procedures and other governing rules.
3. * Maintain supplies and keep health room and work area clean and neat.
4. * Assist in the management of health problem referrals.
5. * Assist in the provision of routine health screenings, referrals and follow-up of students.
6. * Review and interpret student health records for compliance to Florida Statutes.
7. * Maintain appropriate and accurate documentation of all treatments, procedures, and medications.
8. Other duties as assigned by the Principal or Nursing Supervisor.
