SHEET METAL INSTALLER BASICS:
As a Sheet Metal Installer, you will fabricate, assemble, and install HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components for a variety of projects. Each day, you will read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications to ensure precise and efficient work. You will measure, cut, bend, and fit sheet metal using both hand and power tools, then install duct systems, registers, diffusers, dampers, and ventilation components. You will seal, insulate, and test ductwork to ensure every system performs at its best, working closely with installation crews to complete projects safely and efficiently.
Requirements:

Experience installing duct systems, registers, diffusers, dampers, and ventilation components

Ability to fabricate, assemble, and install HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications

Skill in measuring, cutting, bending, and fitting sheet metal using hand and power tools

Capability to seal, insulate, and test ductwork

Strong coordination and communication with installation crews
Preferred:

EPA, OSHA 10/30, or sheet metal certifications

Experience as a tin knocker, sheet metal mechanic, or HVAC installer
