Job Overview
Any Lab Test Now and InShapeMD (same location) are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in laboratory procedures and techniques, with a focus on patient service and specimen collection. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate specimen collection and processing, contributing to high-quality diagnostic results.
We are a walk-in retail location that provides customers with the opportunity to take control of their health care by ordering any laboratory test they want. We provide thousands of blood tests, paternity testing, drug screens and background checks. We service consumers as well as businesses.
Duties
- Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing, adhering to proper handling protocols.
- Maintain aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during specimen collection and processing.
- Obtain vital signs and relevant patient information to support accurate laboratory analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of specimens for transportation to the laboratory, ensuring proper storage conditions.
- Perform Drug and Alcohol testing
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and maintaining a compassionate demeanor.
- Follow all laboratory procedures and safety guidelines to uphold quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning correctly.
- MUST be available 7 days a month to be on standby in case there is a DOT post-accident drug test.
- Must have a validated drivers license.
- Must pass a drug test and background screen.
- Participate in our social media videos.
Experience
- Prior laboratory experience or clinical laboratory experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency in laboratory techniques such as venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen processing.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques relevant to phlebotomy.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations while providing exceptional patient service.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, and infection control practices.
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures related to blood collection, specimen handling, and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to work efficiently within a team environment.
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
