- DAY TREATMENT AND TRAINING, ADULT
A service that provides specialized sensory-motor, cognitive, communicative, social interaction
and behavioral training to promote skill development.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the admission and discharge of members.
- Adhere to DTA schedules, rules, and policies.
- Assist members in the self-administration of medications per protocol.
- Lead and participate in community meetings and therapeutic groups.
- Implement and support daily DTA activities and schedules.
- Transport members to program activities, community events, and appointments as required by their treatment plan.
- Ensure member safety during all activities, including transportation.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation, including daily progress notes.
- Maintain member confidentiality and protect all personal and medical information.
- Report safety, clinical, or behavioral concerns immediately to the appropriate supervisor.
- Support members with daily schedules and life skills tasks, including hygiene and cleanliness.
- Assist with exercise and wellness activities (e.g., walks, light movement).
- Provide support with daily living skills such as meal preparation, laundry, and housekeeping as needed.
- Participate in and be familiar with agency safety and emergency protocols, including disaster plans.
- Complete and submit incident and accident reports as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment within the DTA facility.
- Participate in all required staff training, including annual and job-specific training.
- Uphold professional behavior and ethics according to the agency Code of Conduct.
- Submit vacation requests at least two weeks in advance.
- Provide at least 8 hours’ notice when calling in sick.
- Collaborate on shift changes and scheduling as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prefer one year of behavioral health or direct care experience (training available for candidates without experience).
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Ability to speak, read and write English proficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to respond to emergencies and maintain composure under pressure.
- Physically and mentally able to participate in member activities (indoor/outdoor).
- Basic computer and typing skills.
- Must have or must be able to obtain a level 1 fingerprint clearance card.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a valid AZ ID.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test where applicable.
Certifications & Training (Required):
- CPR Certification (Adult, Infant & Child)
- First Aid Certification (Adult, Infant & Child)

Working Conditions & Equipment Use:
- Frequent use of computer, fax, and phone.
- Ability to prepare and edit electronic daily progress notes.
- Use kitchen and cleaning equipment as needed.
- Stand for long periods and participate actively in daily activities.
- Regularly move in and out of the facility to accompany members.
- Engage in physical activities such as walking, gardening, and seasonal outings.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.10 - $15.15 per hour
