Responsibilities
- Provide professional barbering services including haircutting, beard trimming, straight razor shaves, and hair styling tailored to each client's preferences.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations, including proper sterilization of tools and workstations.
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Offer expert advice on hair color theory, retail products, and styling techniques to educate clients and promote retail sales through upselling.
- Assist with front desk duties such as greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling client inquiries with excellent communication skills.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair threading, hair styling, and retail sales strategies to foster a collaborative environment.
- Manage store operations effectively by supporting store management initiatives and contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license required; additional certifications in eyelash extensions or nail care are a plus.
- Proven experience in barbering with expertise in haircuts, straight razors, hair extensions, and grooming services.
- Strong knowledge of salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and team members.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and best practices in a salon setting.
