About the Role
Motley-Motley is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and organized Yard Operations Coordinator to oversee daily yard operations and support our field crews, shop team, and active projects. This role is critical to keeping our yard, inventory, equipment, and deliveries running efficiently while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, mechanically inclined, comfortable working outdoors year-round, and able to juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesYard & Facility Maintenance
- Clean, organize, and maintain designated yard areas
- Perform sweeping, debris removal, and general upkeep of the property
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Wash and clean equipment, trailers, and vehicles as needed
Inventory & Materials Management
- Track, organize, and maintain inventory
- Clean and prepare reusable manholes and structures
- Assist with material staging and yard organization
- Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs
Deliveries & Logistics
- Load and unload incoming shipments and deliveries
- Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to active job sites
- Serve as a parts runner for the shop and field crews
- Coordinate movement of materials and equipment between crews and properties
Project & Operations Support
- Provide support on active projects as needed
- Assist with basic project management responsibilities
- Perform daily WAQTC testing when required
- Support field operations with traffic control and logistics coordination
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, forklifts, and yard equipment (preferred)
- Construction, utility, excavation, or yard operations experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
