We are hiring an experienced Commercial Property Manager to take full ownership of a growing portfolio of retail shopping centers and single-tenant retail properties across several states. This is a true A-to-Z management role for someone who is comfortable being deeply involved in every aspect of property operations — from big-picture strategy to day-to-day execution.
This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who enjoys autonomy, accountability, and working directly with ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end management of retail assets, handling all operational, financial, and tenant-related matters
- Manage daily property operations, ensuring assets are well maintained and operating efficiently
- Oversee all vendors and service providers, including bidding, contract negotiation, and performance management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, resolving issues and maintaining strong long-term relationships
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, CAM reconciliations, and operating expense controls
- Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and capital items
- Collaborate closely with leasing and accounting teams to support occupancy, renewals, and financial reporting
- Support and participate in leasing efforts, including renewals, tenant coordination, and deal execution
- Provide clear, consistent reporting directly to ownership
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial property management experience, preferably with retail properties
- Proven ability to manage properties from acquisition through daily operations
- Strong understanding of CAM, budgeting, vendor management, and financial oversight
- Leasing experience is highly desired, including renewals and tenant negotiations
- Comfortable managing assets across multiple states
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Yardi or similar property management systems preferred
