About the Role:

Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Responsible for preparing charts well in advance before appointment and have records
- Request Hospital Records/ Procedure reports/ Test results for follow up appointments
- Cross Train in Front Desk Responsibilities and rotation schedule as needed
- Knowledge in management of Chronic Care Management and Transition Care Management
- Coordinate Surgical Scheduling for patient procedures in facilities
- Coordinate patient scheduling and provide instructions prior to scheduled procedures
- Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation in electronic health systems.

- Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and health management.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes.
- Willing to travel to rural clinic on a weekly basis.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; CMA certification required.
- Proven experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting.
- Experience in Cardiology Specialty practice.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Compassionate demeanor and a patient-centered approach.
- Current CPR certification is a plus.
- Current Driver's license and valid liability insurance
- Reliable transportation / flexible schedule to travel with clinic team.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
