Duties
- Lead structured swim lessons tailored to different skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety skills with clarity and patience
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
- Enforce safety protocols diligently, including supervising students at all times and responding swiftly to emergencies
- Create an engaging, supportive atmosphere that motivates students to enjoy learning and build confidence in the water
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to ensure smooth class operations and maintain a safe environment
- Maintain accurate attendance records, lesson plans, and safety documentation
Requirements
- Prior experience in lifeguarding, sports coaching, teaching, or childcare is highly valued
- Strong swimming ability with certification or experience in swimming instruction or water safety preferred
- Background in martial arts such as Karate, Judo, or Climbing enhances instructional versatility
- Experience working with children or students in physical education or recreational settings is advantageous
- Excellent behavior management skills to foster positive classroom dynamics
- Knowledge of sports like basketball or cheerleading can contribute to energetic teaching styles
- Ability to communicate clearly and motivate learners of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
