We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Care Scheduler / Team Lead to oversee scheduling for our resident care department while providing leadership and direct resident care. This role is essential in ensuring continuous staffing coverage, supporting care team operations, and maintaining the highest quality of care for our residents.
Care Scheduler / Team Lead Responsibilities Include:
Coordinate and maintain 24/7 staffing coverage for the resident care department in accordance with state regulations.
Create, maintain, and update employee schedules, including PTO requests, call-offs, shift changes, and last-minute staffing adjustments.
Respond to staffing call-offs by securing coverage and communicating schedule updates in a timely manner.
Provide supervision, guidance, and leadership to resident care staff in the absence of the Resident Care Director (RCD) and Resident Care Coordinator (RCC), when applicable.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance, transfers, repositioning, incontinence care, and other personal care needs while promoting dignity, independence, and freedom of choice.
Support the Resident Care Director with onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing development of care staff while ensuring required training documentation is completed and maintained.
Foster a positive, resident-centered environment by ensuring residents and families receive exceptional service delivered with compassion, respect, and professionalism.
Coach, mentor, and support team members to maintain high standards of resident care and operational excellence.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding residents, employees, and community operations.
Attend all required in-service education, annual training, and departmental meetings.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the needs of the community.
Care Scheduler / Team Lead Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
CNA, HHA, or PCA certification preferred, but not required.
Minimum of one year of caregiving experience preferred.
Minimum of one year of scheduling experience preferred.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Compassion for seniors and a genuine desire to provide exceptional care.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
