Prince William County's Department of Parks & Recreation (DPR) is looking for candidates interested in working part-time for the Manager-on-Duty position. Interested individuals would be working part time to support youth and adult indoor recreational games and practices. Activities are scheduled in Prince William County Public Schools (PWCPS). Due to the nature of this position, candidates must be current employees of PWCPS. Applicants will need to gain authorization for keys to access assigned schools from the principal, or their designee.
The Manager-on-Duty is responsible for opening and setting up of the facility for league and community use, supervision and security of facility during use, and all cleaning, restoration and security of the facility following use. The hours are 6 - 10 PM on weeknights (Monday - Friday) and 8 AM - 10 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekend work is split into two shifts.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or G.E.D. and 1 year of related experience.
Incumbents for this position should have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public (customer service) through use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls.
Incumbents for this position should have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Incumbents of this classification may require: Lifeguard Certification; First aid Certification; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification; Valid driver's license.
Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Incumbents for this position should be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, inadequate lighting, and intense noises.
