Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic seeks full-time Front Office Coordinator for our busy Clinic. Responsibilities include coordination of all front office functions, including scheduling of patient appointments, patient check-in/check-out, chart maintenance, on-going communication with the Clinical team, supervision of staff and volunteers, and other duties as assigned. Prior medical office experience required. High school diploma required, college preferred. POSITION SUMMARY:
This position serves as the “face” of GMCC, responsible for the management and daily operations of the GMCC front desk area. This is a customer-service focused role with heavy interaction with staff, volunteers and the general public. This role includes cash register and inventory management, oversight of volunteers and staff in the front desk area, routing of telephone calls, scheduling of appointments, training of staff and volunteers as well as data collection and reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Directly supports and oversees front desk employees and volunteers, including with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) compliance, mentoring and training.
· Oversee cash register operation and ensures compliance with GMCC cash management policies.
· Oversees front desk schedule and appointments and provides timely and accurate appointment statistics.
· Answers telephone and assists callers with needs or transfers callers to the appropriate person for assistance.
· Medical chart maintenance.
· Inventory management.
· Prepares and maintains all front desk equipment and supplies.
· Complies with HIPAA and OSHA training requirements and protocols.
· Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
· Education: High school diploma required, college and management/supervisor experience preferred.
· Medical front desk experience required.
· Non-profit experience a plus

· Reliable transportation to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
