We are looking for loving, patient, reliable, organized individual to join our team! We are a growing preschool and are looking for a floater that can work with all age groups. Would cover when teachers are out, cover breaks, and go where needed. Will help out in the office and assist getting the school age off the bus at around 5 PM. Then would be with the school age children until closing. May call and ask you to come in early to cover teachers, or special events. Must be 18, have a high school diploma, and pass a background screening. Must be willing to take online and possibly in person trainings. Must love and enjoy working with children. Clock hours and experience are required, CDA a big plus but not absolutely necessary.
Flexible on morning starting time (between 12PM-2PM) and will stay until closing 6:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Able to effectively and professionally interact with parents, staff, and children
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
- Must be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
