Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have a strong background in the food industry. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests by delivering high-quality service and ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and assist guests with recommendations to enhance their dining experience through upselling techniques.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely delivery.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring all areas are well-stocked and organized.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster positive guest relations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred, with an emphasis on customer service and hospitality.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is a plus, along with basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Experience in guest services, food handling, sanitation practices, and cash handling is essential.
