Silver Spring Personal Care Home is seeking a dependable and caring Dietary Cook/Dietary Aide to join our team. In this dual-role position, you'll help prepare and serve nutritious, home-style meals that support the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents.

What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook lunch and dinner meals according to menus and dietary requirements
- Ensure meals are prepared, portioned, and presented with quality and consistency
- Assist with meal service and resident dining experiences
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, dining room, and food preparation areas
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products
- Assist with inventory management and supply organization
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment as needed
- Work closely with team members to ensure meals are served on time
- Provide friendly and respectful service to residents
Qualifications
- Previous cooking, dietary, food service, restaurant, healthcare, assisted living, nursing home, or hospital experience preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, food handling, sanitation, and food safety practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Dependable attendance and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with special diets or senior care dining is a plus
