Aerial Fiber Lineman (Subcontractor Crew Lead)Job Description
TruLight Solutions LLC is seeking experienced Aerial Fiber Lineman Subcontractors to join our growing team. We are looking for dependable crew leads with telecommunications construction experience who take pride in producing safe, high-quality work.
This position is responsible for the aerial installation of fiber optic infrastructure, including strand construction, fiber placement, make-ready work, and related outside plant (OSP) construction activities. The selected subcontractor will be responsible for leading a two-person crew and must provide a qualified helper.
TruLight Solutions provides the bucket truck and trailer. We are looking for contractors who are motivated, safety-focused, and capable of completing work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Install strand, fiber optic cable, and associated aerial hardware.
- Perform make-ready work, and other aerial construction tasks.
- Install and relocate communication cables in accordance with construction maps and specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering maps and work packages.
- Operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all work meets customer specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Communicate effectively with field supervisors regarding production, material needs, and project updates.
- Follow all OSHA, company, and customer safety requirements.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 2 years of aerial telecommunications construction experience.
- Experience with strand construction, fiber lashing, and aerial fiber installation.
- Experience performing make-ready work.
- Ability to read and interpret construction maps.
- Experience operating bucket trucks.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.
- Must provide a qualified helper to work as a two-person crew.
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety and quality.
Preferred
- Experience working on Verizon, Frontier, AT&T, Brightspeed, Spectrum, GoNetSpeed, or similar telecommunications projects.
