Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Janitorial Site Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial services, with a focus on ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all building occupants. This role requires leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning operations, ensuring all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Perform various cleaning tasks including floor care, buffing, and general janitorial duties across commercial and residential spaces.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Train and mentor custodial staff on best practices in cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep.
- Address any custodial-related issues promptly to ensure minimal disruption to building operations.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is essential; prior supervisory experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and industrial cleaning practices.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures and porter experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
